Library Card Campaign

Scottsdale Public Library set a goal of 2,000 new library card sign-ups between September 1, 2021 and November 30, 2021, which it achieved ahead of schedule.

To celebrate the end of the campaign, SPL hosted a free cardholder appreciation concert on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Scottsdale Stadium. The Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library sponsored this event and paid for entertainment including 80s rock band Rock Lobster.

All Maricopa County residents are eligible for a free SPL card. You can choose from seven different card choices, including the new design featuring the SPL mission statement: “Putting People at the Heart of Dynamic Library Services.” New and renewing cardholders can choose any design for their card, but those who sign up online will receive the new design.

Anyone that signed up for a card during the campaign received a $1 off coupon eligible to use at the Library Shops at Civic Center and Mustang Library.
