24-Hour Donor Challenge

Did you know that students in third through fifth grade lose on average 20 percent of their reading gains during the summer months in what is known as the “summer slide?” (source: Scholastic)

The second annual Friends 24-Hour Donor Challenge on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 will help battle the summer slide in Scottsdale, as proceeds will benefit Scottsdale Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge.

This program incentivizes readers of all ages to log every minute read in June and July in order to receive free prizes including restaurant vouchers and books. Your donation can help the Friends incentivize kids to read.
