About Us
In 2020, the Scottsdale Public Library celebrated its 65th anniversary. With four locations and 3.1 million items available, more than 1.3 million people visit a Scottsdale library branch each year.
While libraries are open to all, regardless of age, education or socio-economic status, they are not free. City funds only cover the basics.
Since 1985, the Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library have striven to improve the Library experience for patrons of all ages through free events and programming.
Friends members help keep libraries open and operating, providing resources for thousands of people to learn and grow every day.
Our 100 percent volunteer run organization ensures that money donated is spent on initiatives that benefit the Library. Please consider becoming a Friend today.
The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library.
